"Iceura" (or should that be "RAFH", "Cakemaker" etc) is on page 2.

As for "Recursive Prophet" (ditto above), maybe he/she started feeling silly playing juvenile games.

Waterside hypotheses of human evolution assert that selection from wading, swimming and diving and procurement of food from aquatic habitats have significantly affected the evolution of the lineage leading to Homo sapiens as distinct from that leading to Pan. (p118)

What d'ya reckon? Don't you think people who choose usernames like "Alg1sKul1ukas" are being just a bit provocative? I mean if they hate me so much and want to make their opposition clear, why not choose "NotAlgis" or something like that? I'm thinking of introducing a new rule... No user names that are obviously misleadingly close to others.

Maybe I'm in the top twenty! :)

It seems to me that banning of imposers (or sarcastic imposers) is a rule of thumb in any kind of internet forum.

Anyway, great place for AAH discussions. No more forced merge, no more exile of thread.

Thanks Chak.

I'm hoping persuasion will work better than laying down the law.

Since imposters don't come here for reasoning I don't think persuasion will work for them.
For them, imposting and multiple login are the easiest ways to ruin a discussion with minimum effort.
All models are wrong, but some are useful.

To be fair, Chak doesn't understand why one can't be an impostor of an impostor?

What a disaster for the home team. Now the notorious 1 cake pastry chef has spammed the forum with her nonsense. I'm afraid any attempt to have a meaningful discussion here will not be possible unless you get rid of the traveling shitposter brigade. Just warn, suspend, then ban as you said Algis. For those who can maintain a civil, on topic discussion, it doesn't really matter what user name they choose. Those who can't-which sadly seems to include most Dags-should not be allowed to derail you on your own site. I guess I have underestimated just how dumb-arsed the gang has become over time. Perhaps a reboot will help. :(

I totally agree with your point, but do try to avoid use of F- and S-words, if not only for the sake of ritual.

Ah. Silly me. I didn't think there'd be a page 2.
