Original newspaper reactions on Alister Hardy in 1960?

On the current Wikipedia article on AAH, there is this line:
Hardy finally voiced his thoughts in a speech to the British Sub-Aqua Club in Brighton on 5 March 1960. A national newspaper reported a distorted interpretation of Hardy's ideas, which he countered by explaining them more fully in an article in New Scientist on 17 March 1960.

Anyone know something more specific than this? Which paper(s) and article are being talked about? This published between Hardy's speech in Brighton and his article in New Scientist, the "panic phase", if you will.
I don't know my source (Elaine?) for remembering this headline: "Oxford professor says humans descend from dolphins!", or something to that effect.
