2 "Ecological"
2.4 Extant Analogues	It has been suggested (Hunt 1994) that contexts of bipedalism in extant apes may give clues as to factors which led to the evolution of hominin bipedalism. This criterion judges models on this basis. Models that are based on extant ape behaviour, plausubly set in a paleoecological contetxt were judged best, models based on modern human behaviour with no extant ape analogues were judged worst.
